Claris Health, a non-profit organization whose goal is to guide people into informed pregnancy and sexual health choices (of which I am a Board Member), desired to hold a fundraiser event geared toward raising money to build out the marketing side of the organization. And so my foray into event planning! We invited Board Members, donors, friends/family, brand ambassadors, and basically anyone we could get our hands on for a fun-filled night of celebration and vision casting.
As a key speaker of this event, my goal was to inspire the audience and capture their imagination of what a new world in 2020 could look like. As a designer for this project, I helped design our presentation and various collateral – brochures, posters, and more. As a planner for this event, I helped in developing and organizing the agenda, providing talking points for other speakers, and helped to connecting attendees to one another. In addition to reaching our goal of $400k, the best part of a fabulous evening was meeting one of our key donors, Patricia Heaton! It was a beautiful, heart-warming, once-in-a-lifetime evening.
